The magician shows two pieces or rope: one long and one short.
 
The ends are brought together and then drawn apart.
 
The two ropes are now the same length.
 
With a magical pass, the two ropes change into one long length of rope.
 
Finally the rope miraculously permeates the magician's body to pass from the back to the front!
