The performer rubs a small magic wand across a mysterious notched stick having a small propeller attached to its tip. The rubbing motion causes the propeller to vigorously spin in one direction. Then, without any change in the rubbing motion, the propeller comes to an abrupt stop and reveres it vigorous direction of spin. The stick and wand is then given to the spectator who promptly works himself into a state of frustration when he finds that, no matter how he manipulates the two, he can not duplicate your magical skill.
