Top of the Heap is the easiest, cleanest, and most staggering ambitious card effect you are likely to witness. The magician displays a deck of cards, legitimately shuffles and cuts them, and deals cards face up until a spectator stops him at a selection. The selection is buried in the deck and, with no false moves whatsoever, the card rises to the top three times in a row.
 
The handling is incredibly clean, without double lifts or other sleight of hand. The deck is cut in half. The selection is placed on top of one pile and, with no suspicious moves, instantly jumps to the top of the other pile. The deck is shuffled and the spectator cuts the deck into four piles. He selects any pile: the top card is his selection, while the other piles have indifferent cards on top.
