A spectator is invited to name any random playing card that comes to mind.
 
The magician displays a deck of cards, consisting mostly of blank cards. As he slowly brushes the deck along the table, the cards magically print and arrange themselves into a large mosaic depicting a famous Japanese ukiyo-e painting.
 
The named playing card is accurately revealed within the portrait of the kabuki actor! (The kabuki actor has a speech bubble, "saying" the card's value and suit.)
