A glass is shown along with a small ball and a half-dollar size coin. A silk handkerchief is shown and placed on top of the glass. 
 
The coin and the ball are dropped into the handkerchief in the glass. 
 
The spectator is asked to choose either the ball or the coin. By the time the spectator can make his choice, the coin and the handkerchief are seen to penetrate the bottom of the glass.
