QUADMENTAL
Based upon an original idea by Eddie Joseph.
Improved and routined by S. D. Threadgill
Effect:
Performer displays 12 jumbo playing cards which have been cut in half. One half is given to spectator “one”, the other half given to spectator “two”. Spectators are requested to first mix their cards by cutting them several times, and then to place them behind their backs and to cut them once more. The top card of each packet is now removed by both spectators and held behind their backs with one hand while the other hand brings the rest of the packet to the front and places it face down on the table — each packet of cards setting in front of its perspective spectator.
The spectators now deal their cards onto the table into two face up piles with both spectators turning their cards over and dealing them at the same time. As the spectators continue to deal their cards together, the performer suddenly calls “stop”. At that moment, four miracles have taken place.
Spectator “one” has stopped on the card that matches the card that spectator “two” selected. Spectator “two” brings his selected card around in front of him. Both halves match.
Spectator “two” turns over his top card. His card matches the selected card of spectator “one”.
Even though both spectators selected their cards at random, both matching halves came up in the deal at the same time.
Even though both spectators and the performer did not know what cards had been selected, the performer was able to tell the spectators to stop at the precise moment.
CONDITION NOTES: Overall in very good condition with some minor discoloration to the joker from a rubber band and the instructions.
