A coin (5p. piece) is placed into the left hand by the performer. Without moving the now closed left hand, the right hand takes a key from the pocket and after showing it, clasps it tightly.
The spectators are asked what is in the left hand? They of course reply “A coin”. They are asked what the right hand contains? This time, the reply “A key”. The questions are repeated a couple of times, always with the same reply.
On the last call when they are asked what the left hand contains and they reply “The coin” the hand is slowly opened to reveal the key. The right hand now holds the coin. Both coin and key are tossed to the table and may be examined.
CONDITION NOTES: Very good condition with minimal wear. I believe this could easily be adapted to US currency with a nickel.
