HISTORY
 
This trick is often linked to the legendary Fred Kapps, who used a ring box with a glued-in duplicate card—crediting the method to German magician Bruno Hennig. Kapps shared it with Scotty York, who added the audible "rattle" feature before revealing the card and went on to develop some of the best handlings.
 
Later variations came from Jamy Ian Swiss, Italian magician Bruno Canaldi, and Tommy Wonder, who included an 8-page section in Books of Wonder Vol. 1 (1985). Wild Magic produced versions for cards, money, and billets, with models also emerging from the UK, France, Germany, and U.S. manufacturers.
