Performer exhibits two coins, a small piece of blank photographic paper and a deck of playing cards. A spectator is asked to select any card from the deck, not letting its identity be known. The card is shuffled back into the deck and the deck cut into two portions. The photographic paper is initialed by spectator for later identification—and placed between the two coins. Cards are now placed on coins; or coins and paper placed on half the cut portion of deck and the other half of deck on top of all. Performer explains he is going to take a ‘spirit’ impression of the selected card. After a little ‘by-play’ the photographic paper is again shown and a picture of the card selected is revealed. The paper is identified by spectator as being the same paper previously marked.
