A small plastic vial is uncovered and a bolt, die, and nut are removed. The magician unscrews the nut and slides the die off the bolt, showing everything to be completely fair. The die is placed back onto the bolt and the nut is screwed on securely. The assembled pieces are then placed back into the vial and the cap is put on.
 
The performer explains that the nut will penetrate the vial. After giving the vial a few shakes, it is turned over so the audience can look through the clear bottom. Instead of seeing the bolt head, the spectators now see the nut resting on the bottom of the vial.
 
The cap is removed and the vial is handed out. The bolt and die can be taken out still assembled, but the nut is found separately at the bottom. It has impossibly penetrated through the die and bolt. Everything may be examined, leaving no clear explanation for this baffling effect.
 
CONDITION NOTES:  Some minor wear with a couple of small surface rust spots on the top of the cap. Overall in excellent condition for its age. A great collectible that still performs just as it should.
