FOUR-UPMANSHIP
A cute pocket close-up effect by Ian Adair.
EFFECT
The performer displays four regular items … a ball, a clothes-peg, a thimble and a playing card. All four items are slowly and carefully placed into a borrowed hat, paper bag or container. Going to his pocket, the performer further removes another object, concealing it from view, within both clenched hands. This is, in fact, a DUPLICATE of one of the four already placed inside.
The performer states that three spectators will be selecting their objects, one at a time, by simply naming them. He also states further, that the object remaining will be duplicated.
All three spectators select their objects, the performer removes them from the hat, displaying them, and true enough, there’s two of the last object inside the hat.
The effect may be repeated and wait for it – there are no forces and both objects at the end can be examined – in fact all can. The working is easy.
Condition Notes: Overall complete Light wear consistent with age, but well preserved and display-worthy.
