Vintage professional Cups and Balls magic set featuring three large metal cups and four dark green crocheted balls. The cups have a classic tall tapered design with shallow recessed crowns, raised lower beads and a bright chrome-plated finish.
 
The cups are non-magnetic and weigh approximately 152–157 grams each. Based on their weight, construction and areas of visible finish wear, they appear to be chrome or nickel-plated brass. They have a distinctive tall vintage design measuring approximately 4⅝" high with a 3⅛" opening. We have been unable to locate any maker's marks or positively identify the manufacturer, although the style appears consistent with older professional Cups and Balls sets dating to the mid-20th century.
 
This particular design appears to be quite old. A remarkably similar traditional Cups and Balls set cataloged by Potter & Potter was described as circa 1940, chrome-plated brass, with silver-painted interiors and measuring exactly 4⅝" high.  However, there are no visible maker's marks on this set, so we have been unable to positively identify the manufacturer or exact age.
 
CONDITION NOTES:  Overall in good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. The cups retain a very nice reflective finish but show scattered scratches, scuffs and small areas of finish loss. One cup has a more noticeable area of plating/finish loss on the side, and there is additional minor wear around the upper rims as shown. Interiors show normal age and use wear.
