JUMBO BACKSTAGE MONTE
By Devin Knight
How many times have you been asked by spectators to teach them a trick? Ever have a client ask you to teach a trick to the audience as part of your show? What should you do when you get this type of request?
I really did not want to expose a good trick; but, over the years, I have had many good clients request that I teach the audience a simple trick. With that in mind, I came up with Backstage Monte, back in the 80's. It apparently teaches the audience a trick they could go home and do; but, in the end, the magician still fools them.
This is NOT a sucker effect. You really do show the audience how to do a trick. Later in the effect, you demonstrate that a master magician does not need to resort to such simple tricks.
Perform this trick as described and you will BLOW AWAY MAGICIANS who think you are just doing the old FLAP MONTE TRICK. The ending is a real KILLER, that will baffle even the most astute audiences.
