“Bottle Glass - Glass Bottle” is a close-up card version of the classic stage effect involving a bottle and a glass, often known as the Passe-Passe Bottle and Glass. In the original routine, the bottle and glass repeatedly change places whenever they are covered, creating a running comedy situation that becomes more impossible with each phase.
 
This card adaptation captures the same entertaining back-and-forth transposition effect in a compact format designed for close-up and small audience performance. The audience quickly becomes involved in trying to follow the movements, leading to plenty of laughter while the magician remains one step ahead.
 
Inspired by the legendary comedy presentations of performers such as Tommy Cooper, this version combines visual magic with audience interaction and humor. Despite the playful presentation, the routine still delivers a strong magical climax that leaves spectators both amused and amazed.
 
The routine has five phases:-
The magician displays the cards and places a bottle and glass in a two-card packet on the left and a bottle and glass in a two-card packet on the right. A transposition takes place and the packet on the left is shown to be two bottles and the packet on the right is shown to be two glasses.
Phase one is now repeated.
The four cards are shown to be all glasses.
The four glasses change to four bottles.
Finally, two of the bottles change back to glasses and thus the performer ends as he started, with two bottles and two glasses.
