The performer displays six cards and lays them face up on the table. A spectator freely thinks of any one of the six cards — there is no force of any kind. The performer gathers the cards, gives them a brief mix, and without asking a single question, immediately names the thought-of card.

 

This can be repeated with the same or different spectators, and each time the performer unerringly identifies the chosen card.

 

No sleight of hand, no marks, and no gimmicked cards — a straightforward demonstration of apparent mindreading using ordinary playing cards.
